Clean the Splines: Before installing the new bellcrank, use a small wire brush to clean any rust or old grease from the transmission shift shaft. A clean surface ensures the new splines seat perfectly.

Apply Threadlocker: We highly recommend applying a drop of Blue Loctite to the mounting bolt. Transmission vibration can cause this bolt to loosen over time, which is the #1 cause of stripped bellcrank splines.
