🔍 Troubleshooting Guide

Issue Possible Cause Solution
Coolant Leaking from Weep Hole Mechanical seal failure. A small amount of "weeping" is normal during the first few miles (break-in). If it persists or is a steady drip, the mechanical seal is compromised.
Overheating at Idle Air trapped in system or faulty thermostat. Ensure the cooling system was properly bled. Also, check the thermostat and radiator fan switch, as they often fail alongside the pump.
Whirring or Grinding Noise Bearing failure or gear misalignment. Check if the pump was bolted down evenly. A crooked installation puts stress on the bearings, leading to premature noise and failure.
Oil and Coolant Mixing Failed internal oil seal. If you see "milky" oil or oil in the radiator, the internal oil seal on the pump shaft is leaking. Replace the pump unit immediately.
Reduced Coolant Flow Clogged radiator or hose kink. Ensure all hoses are routed correctly without kinks. If the pump is spinning but flow is low, the radiator may be partially blocked by scale.
